Anika Tabassum Sarkar
Anika is a self motivated, adaptable and responsible undergraduate, studying Civil Engineering in BUET, working in various voluntary communities. In Community Action, she is the project coordinator for Action: Rupantor, helping the street children with reading difficulties to become literate. She, with her team members motivated her family for her education. Last year they tutored her and she got into a good school in Dhaka . They got in trouble with the school committee as they didn’t want to admit a street child but her merit and the hard work paid off. Her father will be receiving a van very soon and a little money to sell vegetables. Now their project leads to providing her a safe home. She also guided Visual Impaired Students of Dhaka University and recorded study materials; helped them to get their lesson brailed. She went to Baptist Mission Integrated School to provide a donation and spent quality time with them, tried to feel their pain and sufferings. She is also working as a volunteer in Art of Living which is a UN based organization, helped in organizing a yoga festival. She went to The Institution of Engineers in Jamshedpur , India to participate in the International Science Creativity Olympiad in 2006, attended Model United Nation Conference, collected Data in the project “Elevated Expressway. She is a member of Active Citizen: Bihongo, SAYS,Green Youth Generation and also newest member of BYMC.
Armin Zaman Khan
Armin Zaman Khan has worked as a volunteer for different youth social service organizations based in Dhaka since 2007 and is currently studying in the Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka. She has represented Bangladesh in different international and global platforms as a youth delegate where she has represented the voices of Bangladeshi youth in climate change issues. She attended United Nations Climate Change Conference in Durban, South Africa in 2011 with a scholarship from the Norwegian government and the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, RIO+20 in 2012 with support from UN Women. She is working with BYMC to strengthen the voices and participation of Bangladeshi youth in climate change policy and activism in the global platform
Kamrul Islam
KamruI Islam is currently an undergrad student, studying BSc. in Computer Science and Engineering at North South University. On the other hand, he has a strong motivation and devotion towards the environment and its preservation. He has worked relentlessly on numerous climate campaigns and coordinated programs, which includes 10/10/10, connecting the dots and many more. He has a strong voice in the media as well and been interviewed in different media to share his climate preservation experience. Kamrul Islam’s vision is commendable. He believes that technology is the driving force of today and tomorrow’s economy. Thus, he visualizes blending technology with environment to fight climate change, which will create a difference in the lifestyle of people its surroundings. At present, Kamrul Islam is presenting a strong foothold in centering the youths of Bangladesh to act productively on fighting the climate change issues. Correspondingly, Bangladesh Youth Movement for Climate(BYMC) provides the platform to live the dream of tackling climate change among the youths and help build a greener Bangladesh.
Marzia Israt
Marzia is from Bangladesh.She is doing her Bachelor of Science in civil engineering.But she doesn't want to be confined with this identity only.She wants to explore things. and contribute for her community. By joining BYMC,she will have the chance to meet new people and at the same time she will know more about environment,which is now a prime concern of the world.This is just the beginning.She hasn't done any programme about environment before but she is planning to do more.
Md Aminur Rahman Khan
Md Aminur Rahman Khan has been deeply engaged in climate change activities since 2007. During Sidr cyclone which hit south west Bangladesh in 2007, Aminur played the role of a courageous climate rescuer. In Barisal district he co-ordinate the after cyclone activities to reduce the sufferings of the cyclone victims. He managed to re-engineer and has been an active consultant to prepare the localities to train them for further calamities.
Aminur loves working with the climate affecters at the grass-root level and share experience. Moreover, he is deeply engaged with the climate campaigns, namely, Amar Desh Amar Gram, project in the Barisal District. His contribution to train the people on climate change, its impact and prevention is commendable. He is termed as a mentor to the youths of his locality to serve for the humanity. Aminur organized a number of programs with Bangladesh Youth Movement for Climate (BYMC) and is vocal to share his experience on climate change issues at all his reach. He seeks to have zero tolerance on the climate change affecters and visions to make Bangladesh a proactive role model in tacking climate change.

Nasif Utpol
Nasiful Alam Utpol inspired by Razwan to work with youth climate movement in Bangladesh. Utpol and Razwan organized many climate events before Razwan started BYMC. Utpol also lead the climate events in Bangladesh during COP15 and organize we can't drink oil campaign and also 350 vigil. He also attends different kind of climate events in Dhaka organized by Youth in Action on Climate (YAC) and others. He attend first ever climate camp in Noakhali, Bangladesh at 2009.
Utpol born in Noakhali and studied in Bachelor of Business Studies in National University, Bangladesh. Now he is involve in TV production since 2009.
Nusrat Khan
Nusrat is a person who think about environment, dream about environment and talk about environment. After ending her study in Geology and Environmental Geology from University of Dhaka, she start running for environment. At present, Nusrat is in charge of an environment based project called Green Radio in Radio Today FM 89.6. The program is a dedicated 1 hour daily show covers recent issues of environment and climate change. A news segment contains current environmental issues and natural disaster based news stories in Bangladesh and whole world as well. As she like to work in aspect of communication, she did her job in mass communication. Though her academic subject is different. In Somoy (a satellite television channel), she was in charge of diplomacy beat as well as she involved with City-corporation, environment, RAJUK and WASA. That gave her a great fun and a little taste of making documentary. Yes, she like to be an environmental documentary film maker.
Razwan Nabin
Abdullah Al Razwan (Nabin) is at the
moment leading Bangladesh Youth Movement for Climate (BYMC), a voluntary youth network for
raising awareness and taking actions to tackle the adverse effects of Climate
Change. His organization now has running
several campaigns and projects. Razwan Nabin has extensive grass roots experience, has
reached out as a volunteer in the affected areas and run campaigns for
significant environmental issues in Bangladesh. He has been working across districts
in Bangladesh running awareness campaigns and projects with the youth network
in the district level. Nabin was selected as one of the top Climate Champions
who designed an innovative project for British Council Bangladesh. His project
is Bangladesh Youth Movement for Climate (BYMC) will mobilize Bangladeshi youth
on Climate Change issues. Nabin also organized different youth lead climate
action in Bangladesh like Global day of Climate action, Global Day of Climate
Solution, We can’t Drink Oil Campaign etc. Beside his involvement Nabin also
working with Bangladesh Red Crescent Society as a Volunteer. He was also
engaged in BBC World Service Trust in Bangladesh, where he was part of the Youth
Magazine programme called BBC BUZZ.
Nabin also a Focal point of South Asian Youth Climate Action Network (SAYCAN) and attend First and Second South Asian Youth Summit on Climate Change (SAYSoCC) in Nepal and Srilanka. He attended the last UNFCCC conferences, COP 15 in Copenhagen as a Bangladesh and South Asian Youth delegate. Nabin also represent Bangladeshi Youth in different international youth summit including CIVICUS YOUTH AND WORLD ASSEMBLIES in Montreal, Canda, ASIA PACIFIC RED CRESCENT YOUTH SUMMIT AND 8th ASIA PACIFIC RED CRESCENT RED CROSS CONFERENCE in Jordan. Sa'ad Abd Ar Rafie
Sa'ad Abd Ar Rafie is a dedicated, driven young man with great ambitions and fascination in working for Environmental Sustainability and Climate Change along with varied interests which range from photography, creative writing, environmental activism and volunteering for youth organizations. Being a firm believer in youth empowerment and participation in environmental issues, Sa'ad is always on the lookout for platforms that will help and aid in augmenting the reach and mobility of his peers. Previously, he has worked as a volunteer for the JAAGO Foundation and Volunteer for Bangladesh on their UCD and National Tax Day Events in the years 2010 and 2011. On a different note his photograph "Shattered” has been featured in Fuel Your Photography online magazine.

Sheriff Al Sire
Sheriff is an activist and works with young people. He is trying to establish that - if you want any change you need to gather young people; because they have power to change anything. He was very active blogger on 2009/2010 year but now days he is trying to promote youth activities and also organize various kinds of programs. He is a writer; specially short story writer. In this year 2012 published his first short story book ‘Koyekti Opekkhar Golpo’ from Adarsha Publication. Sheriff completed his undergraduate degree in Telecommunication Engineering from Independent University, Bangladesh and now he doing his masters from the same university and his subject is Media and Communication. He started his career as a Research and Development Officer in Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB).

Zakiya Jafrin
Zakiya Jafrin doing her Bsc in electrical and electronics engineering (EEE) at Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology. She is tired with her regular schedule of life and want to utilize her free time for community people. Zakiya volunteer her time with Community Action to teach the blind children also want to engaged with BYMC to contribute in climate change issues. She believe through BYMC she can also work with vulnerable people and it will help her to develop the skills.
